ππβ‘οΈ The LHS National Art Honor Society had an inspiring day in Lancaster! π¨β¨ They started with a tour of the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, getting a glimpse into college-level creativity and studios.
Afterward, they enjoyed lunch at Lancaster Central Market, exploring all the amazing local food options. They wrapped up the trip at Building Character, a unique marketplace full of art and handmade goods. While there, a few students even got the chance to try letterpress printing on a 3/4 scale replica of Benjamin Franklinβs printing press!
Such a fun and creative field trip experience for everyone involved! ποΈ

Students explored a variety of dishes across appetizers, sides, and entrees, creating an impressive spread including: Shrimp Caprese, Chicken & Shrimp Carbonara, Maryland Crab Soup, Shrimp Scampi, Grilled Marinated Shrimp, Crab Dip, Steak & Shrimp Street Tacos, Fried Bacon Scallops, Crab Rangoon, and BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp.
From classic flavors to creative combinations, students showcased their culinary skills and versatility in the kitchen. Great work! πβ¨

They also baked up some fun with βEaster Trash Cookies,β packed with a little bit of everything: pretzels, potato chips, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, coconut, and caramelβsweet, salty, and totally irresistible! π£πͺ
To top it all off, students created beautiful layered chocolate pies using springform pans, showing off both their skills and creativity.

At the 39th Annual Adams County Envirothon, Littlestown High School brought home the top award for the 27th time! π The LHS βBobcatβ team took 1st place with an incredible score of 433, earning top marks in Wildlife, Soils, Forestry, and Current Issues.
The LHS βWoodcockβ team also had an outstanding showingβplacing 1st in Aquatics and finishing 2nd overall with 377 points! π§π±

πΌ πͺ΄π LHS Horticulture students recently teamed up with ACES kindergarten classes for a hands-on planting activity, helping our youngest learners plant marigolds! πΌ
The flowers will be nurtured in the LHS greenhouse, where theyβll continue to grow and thrive. Weβre excited to welcome the kindergarten students to our LHS greenhouse next month for a special field tripβwhere theyβll get to see their plants, practice watering flowers, and explore all the exciting things happening in our greenhouse.
A wonderful collaboration and a great way to grow curiosity and learning together!

All three students developed their literary criticism papers in Mr. Pechartβs English Composition II course. Jocelyn Bauerlein earned Winner in the Textual Analysis category, Olivia Pugh was named Runner-Up in the same category, and Leah McCauslin & Reese Ruckerβs papers were also selected for publication.
