โฒ๏ธ ๐ ๐ฅฃ Unique Culinary students learned that yummy breakfast pastries are harder to make than they look. Students created homemade apple pie and cheese filling. Then tried their best to create pinwheels, bird's nest, and braids with the pastry dough. Our recipes this week were Cheese Danishes, Apple Pie Crumble Danishes, and Easy German Strudels.

๐จ ๐ผ๏ธ๐งToday's LHS AP 3D Year 1 art installation is by Nicole R. This landscape painting features flowers, a river, and a bright blue sky in a gold frame. The river comes out of the painting and turns into a waterfall that falls into a lake with paper mache hills around it. This painting uses color in the sky and flowers, texture in the paper mache hills, shows movement from the flowing water, and balance in the way everything is placed. The idea was to make it look like the painting is coming to life and leaving the frame. Nicole's goal was to make something creative that people would notice and enjoy looking at. You can find this waterfall in the common area outside the LHS library.

๐จ ๐๏ธ๐ผ๏ธ Check out this LHS Art Installation by 3D AP Year 1 students Caleigh M. & Ryland S. The installation started out with a big flower in the middle, with leaves and smaller flowers branching out across the walls. The elements and principles within this artwork are color, shape, variety, and contrast. The concept of this artwork was to make something that used flowers. Originally, the students were just going to go for vines spreading out, but they chose to do leaves with flowers instead. The meaning of this artwork is to bring something colorful to an area that looks and seems plain or bland. The students chose this stairwell location because it adds a sense of feeling to the blank wall, with the colorful flowers and bright green leaves brings a feeling of a new beginning.
๐Find this art installation in the stairwell located at the Parkway Drive end of LHS.

๐จ ๐๏ธ ๐ผ๏ธ Check out this art installation made by LHS Sophomore Noah E. (AP 3D Art Year 1). Noah really liked the idea of immersion & the idea of something that looks like it might go somewhere when it really doesn't (kinda like those cartoonish moments where they draw stairs on a wall and they actually work).
