LHS students from AP, Academic, and Conceptual Physics all had a great day on Friday, May 2nd at Hershey Park. Students applied their knowledge of physics to amusement park rides. It was a fun opportunity to collect real world data to see how our curriculum throughout the year applied to their favorite coasters.

Local Baker Visits LHS Culinary Classroom:
Monique Washirapunya, the owner of Gateau Monique- the bakery here in Littlestown, visited Mrs. Dull's classes on Wednesday April 30. Students made individual cakes, with a recipe provided by Monique, the day before. They also made ganache which was used after the demonstration. Monique demonstrated how to whip up the ganache into a nice texture for piping. She demonstrated how to fill the piping bags, seal and use them in order to create simple designs on cakes. After Monique's demonstration, students gathered in groups to whip up the ganache and homemade whipped cream, and pipe their own designs on their cakes. They finished decorating using assorted berries and fresh mint from Monique's garden.
