This one-hour presentation will provide the starting points and web resources for effective research before, during and after your student makes post-secondary decisions. The journey will begin before high school and end in the land of understanding choices. One thing is for certain – it is never too early to start planning for a successful higher education experience. Join PHEAA’s PA Forward and Keystone Loan team as they guide you along the exciting, and sometimes bumpy, road to planning for an affordable education. Knowing what to expect and to plan for it is the key, as failing to plan, is planning to fail!

***Please note: Anyone attending the meeting will need to park at the main entrance of Alloway Creek Elementary School and follow the sidewalk around to the rear of the building to enter through Door #12. Doors will not open until 6:45pm.***

Please join us for an informational evening exploring Financial Aid. Get expert advice from a Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) representative and ask questions about paying for higher education.
Although it’s summertime, we are already preparing for the 2025–2026 school year!
Families are encouraged to complete the online Free and Reduced-Price Meals application as soon as possible.
This application must be submitted each school year, unless your family receives SNAP, TANF, or Medicaid benefits. In those cases, eligibility for free or reduced-price meals is automatically determined, and you will receive a notification confirming your eligibility. Breakfast will be free for all students, regardless of eligibility status.
Visit School Cafe (https://www.schoolcafe.com/) to complete the application online today. You may also add funds or view your child's purchase history. Students will be charged for any lunch purchased, however they MUST have funds in their account in order to purchase a la carte items. If you would like any purchasing restrictions placed on their account, please contact Jen Dooley at dooleyj@lasd.k12.pa.us or 717-359-4146 x1299.

Parents of rising 5th Grade students (our new 6th graders), please be on the look out for a letter from the Transportation office in your mailbox. This letter contains a transportation form that must be returned in order for your student to have busing for the new school year. The deadline for return is June 30th to ensure transportation on the first day of school. Don't delay, complete and return the form as soon as you can.
