It's dissection day in Ms. Burton's Anatomy & Physiology class! Students have spent weeks studying human muscles and will now have the chance to identify muscles in rats. Next week they will test on the different muscles they've observed.

On Tuesday, Mr. Powell's AP Physics 1 students performed the "Barbie Bungee Jump" lab. The students were learning about conservation of energy by determining the correct height to drop the Barbie's from. The goal was to give the Barbie's a thrilling jump, WITHOUT hitting the floor! Students had a great time with this lab!

Littlestown was incredibly well represented on Saturday January 29th at the PMEA District 7 Band Festival by two amazing LHS instrumentalists: Christian Keller (11th) on trumpet and Peyton Small (10th) on alto saxophone. Back in December, both Christian and Peyton auditioned for and qualified to participate in District Band which consisted of 95 students from 35 schools across Adams, York, and Lancaster County.
Christian has also qualified to participate in District Chorus, which will be held in February.
Peyton has qualified to move onto Regional Band which will be held in March AND has earned the right to audition for the PMEA All-State Band.

A new project spurred by students interest and is being incorporated into the Intro t0 Ag classes. The FFA students will be responsible for the feeding of them 2 times a day. Feeding times are at 7am and at 2:30 pm. If you head over to the FFA Facebook page you can nominate names for the 2 little calves.



Congratulations to Taylor Hollie and Maria (Duda) Eduarda Marton for placing in the Scholastic Arts and Writing Contest. Taylor won a Silver Key for her poem and Duda won a Gold Key for her short story. Well done!
