Hall of Honor Nominations Now Being Accepted
The Littlestown Area School District is accepting nominations for the Hall of Honor to recognize individuals who have excelled in activities including, but not limited to, academic fields, athletics, fine arts, coaching, teaching, volunteering, community contributions, or who have demonstrated significant achievement which are deemed worthy of this honor. If you would like to nominate someone who should be considered for the 2023 Hall of Honor, we are accepting nominations until May 31, 2023.

National Honor Society is hosting a blood drive for the Red Cross in the high school cafeteria on Thursday April 27 from 2:45 until 8:00PM. Please consider signing up to donate. Your donation could be used to save up to three lives! Blood donations help cancer patients, accident victims, and patients having surgery or transplants. A great weekend for music at LASD! Congratulations to the LHS Indoor Percussion on their 1st place finish! Congratulations to LHS Junior Peyton Small who finished 1st chair at the PMEA Region Band Festival and has been accepted into the PMEA All-State Wind Ensemble!

The concert is at 2pm in the Hempfield HS Performing Arts Center and is $10 a ticket at the door (cash only)
On Thursday LHS teachers showed support for colon cancer awareness by wearing shirts in remembrance of friend and former LHS teacher, Chad Bleehash.

LHS Mini-Thon Spirit Week is next week!
Stacy Tull, is in our Staff Spotlight this month! Stacy currently serves as a Building Aide at LHS and Agriculture Aide. She has been with the district 15 years and the Agriculture Aide for the past 7 years. Her duties include covering for other teachers when there isn’t enough substitutes, uploading data to the CAT System for program approval to PDE, and she coordinates fundraisers for the FFA such as sweet corn day, spring flower sales, and poinsettia/fruit sales. She organizes the FFA field trips, banquets, and learning opportunities with the elementary school. She is always willing to help in the evenings and weekends whenever she is needed such as meeting delivery people after hours, and she helps Mr. Brant take care of the calves over the weekends. Mrs. Tull says she loves working in the Agriculture Department and as an Aide at the High School, stating “you never know what you’re going to get into in a given day.” The Board President, Mrs. Nester said it best, “behind every successful man, there is a woman in charge.” Mrs. Tull is a great enhancement to the FFA Program!
