On November 16th, four of our Juniors, Landon Bingaman, Jacob Huffman, Garrett Hooper, & Daniel Hamilton, attended a one day career experience with the Hanover Auto Team. It was an Introduction to Automotive Careers in which they got to interact with employees and learn the many different aspects of a car dealership. Students now have the opportunity to do a one day job shadowing experience also if they choose to. Also, applications for a two year apprenticeship are available to the students at no cost to them or the school district. Littlestown currently has three Seniors, Nathan Dettinger, Rieley Dolan, & Cashton Darlich in the apprenticeship program - space is limited and competitive. All are doing very well.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Poole and Mrs. Shermeyer had the privilege to take a group of 10th grade girls to Harrisburg for a STEAM Day event. This event was to encourage young women to pursue STEAM related careers. During their time there, they were involved with hands on activities like bridge building, as well as a drone demonstration and a virtual reality exhibit just to name a few.
