April 1-5 is National Assistant Principal Week!⚑ Here at LHS we're spotlighting our building Assistant Principal, Mrs. Trinh Sudak and recognize the essential role that principals play in making a school great! We asked her to answer a few questions to share with the community. 🟨What is your favorite thing about being an Assistant Principal? 🟦My favorite thing about being an AP is the same thing I loved about being a teacher which is building relationships with students, getting to know who they are, and how I can help them navigate the world as they grow into young adults. 🟨What is something students might not know about you? 🟦Most students don't know that before I was a teacher I worked as a personal trainer at my college gym. I trained and taught group fitness classes. I am still passionate about exercise, nutrition and healthy living. 🟨What makes you proud to be a Thunderbolt? 🟦The staff at Littlestown makes me proud to be a Thunderbolt. There is a high level of compassion and caring from the staff that makes you feel like a family.

Hello Thunderbolts! We would like to provide you with information about the upcoming solar eclipse occurring Monday, April 8, 2024. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) scientists predict that our region will experience the eclipse sometime between 2:00pm and 4:30pm on Monday, April 8, 2024. The exact times will vary, depending on location. Based on the predicted timing of this event, we are not planning to alter our school day schedules. As you may know, a total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. This exciting scientific and educational event will not occur again for many years. We all know the intensity of the Sun on any particular day can cause damage to the eyes if you look directly into it. The same is the case during an eclipse; even when the Sun is obscured during the partial phases of a solar eclipse, the remaining crescent Sun is still intense enough to cause harm. Undoubtedly, the media will intensify over the next few days; therefore we are providing you and your family information and interesting resources available below from NASA. NASA Frequently Asked Questions about the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse: https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/future-eclipses/eclipse-2024/faq/ NASA Eclipse Explorer: https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/future-eclipses/eclipse-2024/where-when NASA Guide to Solar Eclipse Safety: https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/future-eclipses/eclipse-2024/safety/ Thank you very much for your time and attention to this historic event and we appreciate your continued support of our District.
