💦🏈 Soak-A-Teacher Fundraiser! 🏈💦
We are excited to share that several teachers will be participating in the Mini-THON “Soak-A-Teacher” fundraiser during the high school football game this Friday, September 18!
The fun begins at 7:00 p.m., and participating teachers will each be assigned a quarter during the game when they will be available to be “soaked.” Teachers will be located at a designated area, likely near the concession stand.
Students can purchase the following soaking options:
💦 $1 – Water soaker spray
🎈 $3 – 2 water balloons
🪣 $5 – Bucket of water
Teachers can also choose to “opt out” of a particular soaking by making a $10 donation to Mini-THON instead.
Come out, enjoy the football game, have some fun, and help support a great cause! We would LOVE to see our students and families there cheering us on! 💙💛

Do you remember Box Tops for Education? You used to cut the box tops off of participating products and send them in to school. Well the program has gotten so much easier. All you have to do is:
1. Download the Box Tops for Education App
2. Sign up and select Alloway Creek Elementary School
3. Do your normal shopping
4. Scan your receipt and upload it to the App
5. You earn money for ACES! (It really is that simple!)
If you shop at Walmart you can even connect your account and it will upload the points for you, no need to scan receipts.

The Littlestown FFA has been busy preparing for Sweet Corn Day which is today, Monday, September 14!
On Friday, 12 FFA members stayed after school to lend a helping hand to six visiting kindergarten classes as they husked an impressive 85 dozen ears of sweet corn! 🌽 The corn will be served in both the high school and elementary school cafeterias on Monday.
And the best part? All students and staff can enjoy an ear of Littlestown FFA sweet corn for FREE! 🎉 This special treat is made possible through the generosity and teamwork of the Littlestown FFA and LASD Food Service.
But the learning doesn’t stop with the lunch bell! 📚🌽 In conjunction with Sweet Corn Day, three groups of FFA members will visit our first-grade classrooms to teach lessons about:
🌽 Corn products
🌱 The corn life cycle
🔬 Corn biology
A big thank-you to our FFA members, kindergarteners, first graders, and LASD Food Service for making Sweet Corn Day a fun, hands-on learning experience for our students! 🌽💙💛

Our students had a wonderful time at today’s character education assembly with Mr. Romano! Through a fun and engaging show, students learned about the importance of being respectful, honest, and empathetic—and discovered the magic that each of us carries inside.

We apologize for the attendance phone call that was sent in error this morning. It seems that even our technology is experiencing a little bit of first-day jitters!
Parents can check their student's Community Portal to see whether their student was actually marked absent or if the call was sent in error. If you believe your student was marked absent incorrectly, please contact the Secondary Building main office at 717-359-4146, ext. 3239, or ACES at ext. 4252, so we can help correct the attendance record.
