πŸŽ“ Student of the Month Recognition

The Board recognized the September 2025 Students of the Month for their outstanding achievements:

  • Littlestown High School: Ashlynn Gorsuch & Morgan Adams (12th Grade)

  • Maple Avenue Middle School: Audrey Seighman (8th Grade)

  • Alloway Creek Elementary School: Liam Davis (2nd Grade) & Carley Storm (5th Grade)

These students exemplify academic excellence, leadership, and positive citizenship in our schools. The Board congratulates each of them for representing what it means to be a Thunderbolt! ⚑

🏫 District Updates

District administrators shared updates in several key areas:

  • MS/HS Project: Progress continues on the construction related to the Middle/High School building project.

  • Pupil Services: The district currently serves 199 students in special education, representing less than 12% of the total student population. Updates also included ongoing efforts to provide targeted support and resources for students across all grade levels.

  • Curriculum: The district held a productive in-service day focused on curriculum, instruction, and data-driven teaching. Staff participated in iReady training on data chats, goal-setting, and differentiated instruction. Many teachers also completed Structured Literacy training. Secondary building principals met with staff to discuss updates on the new secondary school, including the bell schedule, shared staffing, and elective offerings. It was an inspiring day filled with collaboration, professional growth, and forward momentum for student learning.

  • Finance & Operations: The district received over $77,000 from the sale of the district’s bus fleet (more than three times the amount anticipated), as well as over $86,000 in reimbursement from FirstEnergy for the installation of energy-efficient equipment at the new secondary school. Discussion also included fiscal planning and operational updates in preparation for the 2025–2026 budget cycle.

  • Athletics: Congratulations to Mason Peart, who placed first in the PIAA District 3 Golf Tournament, and to Reese Rucker, who achieved her 100th career field hockey goal. Additional updates highlighted the ongoing success of fall sports programs and upcoming events.
