Life Cycle Learning in Action!
In Mrs. Thompson and Miss Jordyn's classroom, we brought science to life by learning all about life cycles—and what better way to do that than by hatching chicks!
We started by exploring the life cycle of a chicken, learning about hens, roosters, and the 21-day incubation process. Thanks to a generous egg donation, we carefully tended to a dozen eggs in our incubator, counting down the days with excitement.
After 21 days of patience and care, our fluffy little chicks finally hatched—and our students were overjoyed! They practiced sequencing in writing, read stories to the chicks, and spent time bonding with their new feathered friends.
This hands-on experience made learning unforgettable!
