Renovation Projects

District Overview
Of the four school buildings, three of them have various components and systems that have exceeded their projected life-cycles.

Alloway Creek Intermediate School was completed in 2003, has been well maintained, and with continued maintenance should not provide any major issues in the foreseeable future. The Intermediate School houses the District Administration Office.

The High School was originally constructed in 1960 and has received two substantial additions since 1993. The structure continues to function as designed, however various systems and components will require attention in the foreseeable future. Upgraded/new systems and replaced components should provide more cost-effective operations and extended life.

Maple Avenue Middle School was originally constructed in 1932 with substantial additions in 1973 and 1991. The building still utilizes a number of components from the 1932 construction including some wood structure and egress components in the three story portion. The Middle School contains the District's preparation kitchen.  

Rolling Acres Elementary School was originally constructed in 1952 and received substantial additions in 1972 and 1990. All major components and systems are 20 plus years of age and should be thoroughly inspected for potential pending issues. There are significant accessibility and acoustical issues in the 1972 portion of the building, including the gymnasium that is only accessible from stair towers.

The Transportation and Maintenance Building was constructed in 2001 and is fully utilized. Several efficiency, safety and operational issues have been identified and should be considered as the opportunities are presented.

The Stadium, Concession Stand, and Toilet Facilities have served the District for many years with limited upgrades. Consequently, there are a number of accessibility and safety issues that will need to be addressed in immediate future.
