Superintendent Search Update from the LASD Board of School Directors
Dear Thunderbolt Families, Staff, and Community,
The Board of School Directors would like to provide an update to our community regarding
the superintendent search process that began in January.
After completing the initial search process, the Board did not identify our next superintendent
during this cycle. Selecting the right leader for our district is one of the most important
responsibilities of the Board, and we are committed to ensuring that the individual chosen
aligns with the needs, priorities, and long-term vision of our students, staff, and community.
Dr. Al Moyer will continue serving as Acting Superintendent through the end of the current
school year and until we find our next superintendent. We appreciate his steady leadership and
continued commitment to the district during this transition.
The Board plans to reopen applications and begin a new search in March. We remain focused
on identifying a highly qualified leader who will continue moving the Littlestown Area School
District forward.
