Welcome, Mrs. Miller!

Welcome, Mrs. Miller!

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Greetings from your student’s Math classroom. As you may have previously been informed, Mrs. Raubenstine will be taking a sabbatical during the second half of the school year. As her long-term substitute replacement, I wanted to reach out to each of you for a brief introduction.

I am a recent transplant to Adams County from nearby Chambersburg, PA, where I have spent the past two and a half years in several short-term substitute positions, as well as a high school math long-term substitute position.  After getting married this past summer and moving to the area, I have been subbing for several of the local districts in a variety of middle school classrooms. I currently hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Level Education with certifications in Math, History, and English.

I am very excited to become a part of the community of the Littlestown Area School District and am honored to have the privilege of of teaching your student for the remainder of the school year. For the past few weeks, I have been in close contact with Mrs. Raubenstine and have been in and out of the classroom getting to know the routines and students. For the sake of continuity and hopefully in the best interest of your student, I am planning to keep as many of the same routines, expectations, and grading methods already in place from Mrs. Raubenstine as possible. Naturally, there will be slight deviations here and there, but I will do my best to make it as smooth a transition as possible for your student.

I appreciate the patience of both the students and you as parents/guardians as I make this transition. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the remainder of the school year, and I will do my best to keep you in the loop as well. Thank-you for all that you do to support your student and the school; it is always much appreciated.

With best regards,

Ellen Miller
