Summer Reading list
The Class of 2018 built a bridge over the ditch between the gym and the basketball court/parking area at Maple Avenue Middle School. The class funded the project with money in their student account and fundraising.

Eisenhower Senior Self Improvement Award for being self motivated for change and improvement in their academic and social lives and for their resilience in the face of challenges.
Information on taking AP courses
On April 13th the annual Adams County School Counselors Association (ACSCA) scholarship breakfast was held at Adams County Tech Prep recognizing Adams County High School Seniors who received the scholarship.
On March 14th at 10:00 am students nation-wide will be observing “17 minutes” to honor all victims of school violence.
Our Guidance Department met with Junior Students and their Parents last evening in a workshop on College Planning. The presentation can be found in this article.
Class of 2019 parents/guardians - On March 6th the High School counseling department will be hosting an information session on college and career preparation for the class of 2019 and their families. We will briefly cover topics such as college and career fit, important deadlines, financial aid, and applying to college and career schools. This session will take place at the High School Cafe at 6pm. Please call the counseling department at extension 2262 if you have any questions.
LHS FFA Antique Tractor Restoration won Best of Show and Best Recordbook Award at the Farm Show!
The High School Guidance Department is excited to announce that we will be offering the SAT on Tuesday April 10th 2018, here at LHS during the regular school day! The cost of the SAT is $46 or $8 if the student receives free/reduced lunch. Students should register and submit payment to Ms. Clabaugh in the Guidance office by February 9th. Please contact the Guidance office at X 2262 if you have any questions.
On January 18th, Tech Prep at the Gettysburg Area High School will be hosting their 1st Annual Open House from 5-7 pm. Primary audience is parents of current 10th grade students, however, younger students and parents are invited to attend as well so that they can start thinking about possible career choices earlier in their educational journey.
