Message from the Director

Welcome to Curriculum & Innovation

Dr. Lori J. Stollar, Director

Excellence. Equity. Innovation. You will be hearing those words a lot this year as we complete our 2020 goals and move into the next decade. These words embody our vision, mission, and values, as we are committed to providing the learning experiences students need to pursue their passion. This means meeting students where they are, and ensuring support, resources, and high expectations are in place for them to achieve at consistently high levels.

The following four pillars serve as the foundation of excellence, equity, and innovation in the Littlestown Area School District:

  • Learner-centered Instruction:  We will ensure educational excellence by providing learning experiences customized to each student. By knowing each student’s unique strengths, needs, skills, and interests we can grow them as a learner.

  • Remove Barriers:  We will advance equity by removing barriers to learning, making a world class education available and accessible for all. We will be guided by the principles of inclusion & fairness.

  • Build Opportunities:  We will provide innovative learning experiences empowering students to develop the skills and dispositions to be future ready.  The Six Competencies for Global Competence--character, citizenship, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication--will anchor learning experiences.

  • Grow People:  We are a system of people. We will cultivate a learning culture by growing and developing individuals and teams.

The time is now to build upon our progress to our 2020 goals and unleash learning into the next decade. Through Excellence, Equity, and Innovation we will ensure Thunderbolts Fly World Class.
