The School Board Meetings scheduled tonight, January 8, 2018, are cancelled. The Board will hold their Work Session next Monday, January 15, 2018 at 6:00 PM with the Regular Meeting at 7:00 PM. The Curriculum Committee Meeting and Finance Meeting will be rescheduled to later dates (TBD).
The School Board will meet in a Curriculum Committee Meeting (5:30 PM) and Work Session (6:00 PM) on Monday, January 8, 2018 in Classroom 112 A & B at the High School, 200 E. Myrtle St, Littlestown.

The High School Guidance Department is excited to announce that we will be offering the SAT on Tuesday April 10th 2018, here at LHS during the regular school day! The cost of the SAT is $46 or $8 if the student receives free/reduced lunch. Students should register and submit payment to Ms. Clabaugh in the Guidance office by February 9th. Please contact the Guidance office at X 2262 if you have any questions.
On January 18th, Tech Prep at the Gettysburg Area High School will be hosting their 1st Annual Open House from 5-7 pm. Primary audience is parents of current 10th grade students, however, younger students and parents are invited to attend as well so that they can start thinking about possible career choices earlier in their educational journey.

Effective December 11, 2017, the MySchoolBucks convenience fee will increase $0.54 per payment from $1.95 to $2.49 due to the rise in card schemes costs. This is the first increase in 16 years for this service provided to the district.

The contents of Rolling Acres is open for bidding by Hurley Auction. Bidding is open now through December 1st. Preview of items is November 30th and pick up of items will be on December 5th, 6th, and 7th.
Orders must be received by November 17th with payment made payable to Littlestown FFA. Poinsettia's can be picked up December 7th from 3-6pm and Fruit picked up on December 19th from 3-6pm.

On Opening Day for the 2017-2018 school year, the LASD staff participated in a fundraiser to exchange a Lincoln (penny) for a Lincoln ($5). The total staff donations totaled $640.00!

Please join us on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Maple Avenue Middle School Auditorium to learn more about how Littlestown Area School District is improving peer relations and making schools a more positive place for students to learn and develop.

We are all seeking closure on this topic as we have already replaced Mr. Oaster and have moved forward as a school district. LASD will wait for formal notification and then act accordingly as a school board in the months ahead. The victims deserve praise and respect for coming forward to start the investigation and allow the judicial system to render a verdict.
