The History of Our American Flag from 1175 - 1818

Below you will find a chart on which to place your observations of the American flags and the changes to the flags over the time period from 1775-1818. Fill out each chart completely so that you may then write a compelling paragraph explaining the changes.

WHAT ARE SOME POSSIBLE EXPLANATIONS FOR THE CHANGES YOU SEE?

        

When you are done filling out the chart above,  you will write a paragraph for each flag explaining the reasons for the changes. Make sure to cite examples from the flags themselves and the events you know took place during these times to support your conclusions.
