After completing this webquest, you will have a better understanding of the Bill of Rights and the freedoms that it guarantees for all Americans. You will understand the events in our history which may have led our founding fathers to recognize the need for these rights.

This international declaration calls for fundamental kids' rights such as freedom of expression, media access, privacy, education, medical care, protection from maltreatment and a clean environment. These are all very important rights!

For an extension activity, read over the information provided on the Children's Rights webpage listed above. You will summarize each "right" in your own words and deliver a speech to your classmates on why these rights are so important to children.
