The Blue Thunder 6th Grade students learn the Real-World Application of Coding

Webster's Dictionary defines coding as: the process of using symbols that are used to secretly send messages to someone or something. Recently, the Blue Thunder 6th grade team spent time teaching our students the real-world application of coding. The students rotated through two stations. One station had the students coding a computer to perform a certain set of tasks. The second station had them programming each other to correctly stack the cups in a given pattern. Following the codes, the students learned how to think critically through the process of writing the code as well as following the code.
