Advanced Placement courses provide students with access to college-level curriculum and success on the AP Exams correlates highly to success in college. LHS offers AP courses in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Literature, Computer Science, Calculus, and US History. This school year we are proud to add Calculus BC and US Government to the expanding list of offerings.
We had an excellent graduation practice today! As of now, the Graduation Ceremony will be outside tonight. There could be a late decision and/or a delay possible. Stay tuned and watchful for afternoon updates. Congratulations to all the Graduates!

Littlestown High School will be offering personal messages of congratulations and support to be displayed on the scoreboard during graduation. The cost will be $10 per message. Payment must be received by 6/2/16. Checks can be made payable to LHS.
LHS Show Choir performed for the Veterans from Martinsburg and Lebanon VA Med Centers yesterday at the Legion Woods in Biglerville. This has been an annual tradition since I was Post Commander several years ago.
For students who need extra help in Geometry, Algebra, American Studies, English, Health, and Global Studies. Summer School runs June 27th - July 16th, 2016. Deadline to register is June 21st.
Students from 6 school districts received awards totaling $5,450.00 with 4 students from LHS - Melisa Montalvo-Albizu; Dayanna Rockemore; Austin King ($500 overall winner selected by the ACEE Foundation); Jillian Persing; and Kara Diskey.
Featuring all the Seniors, plus Speech and Drama classes May 23 and 24, 2016 LHS Auditorium Modern and Contemporary British Poetry: 8 a.m. to 10:45, 11:45 to 12:30; Children's Poetry: 1 to 3 p.m. All are welcome!
LHS Junior, Owen Yingling, will be singing in a free recital at the Gettysburg College on May 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Bring your Mother for a special Mother's Day event!
Children ages 3-5 are welcome and Preschool runs from the end of October until the end of April/beginning of May, Monday through Thursdays from 7:45 until 9:15 am (1st and 2nd periods here at the High School). Cost will be $75 for the entire year.

On Oct. 27th through the 31st, eight Littlestown FFA members traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to participate in the 88th National FFA Convention to compete in two different Career Development Event Contests (CDE’s). The two competitions they participated in were Forestry, and the Environmental and Natural Resource. The Littlestown FFA students qualified to compete at the national competition since they won 1st place at the Pennsylvania State competition in June.

In order to raise awareness and money to combat this disease National Honor Society is running a district-wide “Red Out” on December 17, 2015.
Advanced Placement (AP) courses are designed to provide a college-level educational experience to high school students. Many colleges grant credits for high scores on AP Exams, and research shows that a score of 3 or higher is predictive of college success and graduation.
