Compassionate Bolts Make Me Proud!

Compassionate Bolts Make Me Proud!

The last couple months have been hectic with all the fundraisers, collections, requests for donations and special events to help others.  I’ve been very touched by the amount of generosity I see in the LASD community.

I can’t speak for buildings other than LHS, but we have had more than a half-dozen separate events that I can think of off the top of my head.  Different student groups have engaged in trick-or-treating for UNICEF, Race-for-Change and letter-writing for THON, cancer awareness T-shirts, Ruth’s Harvest, food pantry donations, winter coat drives, the basket auction to raise money for the Ronald McDonald house and bringing in toys and toiletries for children and their mothers in Adams County’s Survivors Inc.

The students and staff at LHS have contributed in so many ways to make life better for others in our community and it makes me proud to be part of this community.
