On March 14th at 10:00 am students nation-wide will be observing “17 minutes” to honor all victims of school violence.
Our Guidance Department met with Junior Students and their Parents last evening in a workshop on College Planning. The presentation can be found in this article.
Class of 2019 parents/guardians - On March 6th the High School counseling department will be hosting an information session on college and career preparation for the class of 2019 and their families. We will briefly cover topics such as college and career fit, important deadlines, financial aid, and applying to college and career schools. This session will take place at the High School Cafe at 6pm. Please call the counseling department at extension 2262 if you have any questions.

The High School Guidance Department is excited to announce that we will be offering the SAT on Tuesday April 10th 2018, here at LHS during the regular school day! The cost of the SAT is $46 or $8 if the student receives free/reduced lunch. Students should register and submit payment to Ms. Clabaugh in the Guidance office by February 9th. On January 18th, Tech Prep at the Gettysburg Area High School will be hosting their 1st Annual Open House from 5-7 pm. Primary audience is parents of current 10th grade students, however, younger students and parents are invited to attend as well so that they can start thinking about possible career choices earlier in their educational journey.
