On Friday, January 22, 2016, our district hosted a Chef Day at the High School. Chef Peter Felton, from US Food Service-Allentown, worked with members of the High School Nutrition Advisory Committee (NAC) to make “BBQ Chicken Mac & Cheese”. Preparation took place in the Central Kitchen will all hands on deck-Kids and Chef that is. NAC members Alex Morrissett, Nick Dooley, Regan Schroeder, and Katlyn Stockslager assisted in all aspects of preparation. After the final step of baking off the casserole dish, the NAC members reported to the High School Food Court to serve the sample dish to the student body. Students as well as teachers tasted and reported that they liked this casserole. The Food Service Department will work this item into our menu rotation.
