The Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 requires all School Food Authorities (SFAs) to inform families about the availability and location of free meals over the summer months. Even though our district does not provide free summer meals, it is our responsibility to provide this information to you.
Over the past couple of years, the National School Lunch Program has seen quite a few changes. These changes have been put in place in order to provide the best meal possible for the children of our nation. According to the USDA Economic Research Report dated September 2015:
On Friday, January 22, 2016, our district hosted a Chef Day at the High School. Chef Peter Felton, from US Food Service-Allentown, worked with members of the High School Nutrition Advisory Committee (NAC) to make “BBQ Chicken Mac & Cheese”.
