Requests for Information
Fee Disclosure
If photocopying is necessary to provide the requested information,
a charge of $.10 per page shall be made upon the requesting party. The per page
charge may be adjusted by the Superintendent when appropriate in accordance
with reasonable business practice. All mailing costs shall be charged to the
requesting party.
In the event the Superintendent determines that School District
personnel shall be required to spend a substantial amount of time in researching
and gathering the requested information, the requesting party shall be informed
of the following:
- The estimated length of time required by School District employees to research
and gather the requested information.
- That the requesting party shall be charged a reasonable fee based upon the
employee's per diem salary for the amount of time to be spent in researching
and gathering the requested information. The first one-half (½) hour
of research is free.
- The amount of the fee to be charged to the requesting party; said fee to
be in addition to any photocopying costs.
- That the fee shall be payable by the requesting party upon receipt of the
requested information.
- A substantial amount of time, as defined in this section, shall be any employee
time involved in research in or gathering information in excess of one-half
(½) hour.
- The District shall not assess any fees for staff time or resources used
to evaluate a request for access to public records.
- The District may require prepayment of estimated fees when the fees required
to fulfill the request are expected to exceed $100.
