The Varsity Softball team had a long week with four games this past week. They took on West York, Bermudian Springs, Kennard-Dale, and Gettysburg. The girls went 1-3 on the week but finished on a high note with a big win over Gettysburg 5-2. Kaitlin Yealy had a big day. She threw a complete game against the Warriors with 11 strikeouts and only 3 walks. She also chipped in with a homerun and two RBIs. The other RBIs were tallied by Emily Lanahan (2) and Caitlin Price (1). The girls currently sit at 4-4 for the season.
JV went 4-0 this past week with wins over those same teams. They are 7-0 to date.
The Varsity Baseball team also had 4 games this week against York Suburban, Bermudian Springs, Susquehannock, and Gettysburg. The boys went 3-1 this week highlighted by a walk to win on Friday over Gettysburg. Graham Schuman threw a complete game for the Bolts on Friday with 4 strikeouts and no walks allowed. Ryan Strevig, Chase DiPietro, Jacob Crawmer, Graham Schuman, Brady Topper, and Dustin DeGroft all chipped in with RBIs. The Bolts won in walk off fashion when Dustin DeGroft started the 8th inning with a walk and then Ryan Strevig laid down a bunt but the throw to first was too high for the Gettysburg 1B and DeGroft came around to score the winning run.
The Boys Tennis team took on York Suburban this week but fell by a score of 0-7.
The Littlestown Track team took on Biglerville this past week. The girls fell by a score of 56-93. Eliza Borromeo took 1st place in the Long Jump and the High Jump. Other first place finishes for the Bolts were Taylor Robertson (400m), Faith Ashford (300 Hurdles), and Ashton Eyler (Discus). The Littlestown girls also took the 1600m Relay. The boys also fell to Biglerville by a score of 70-79. Lucas Reynolds swept the jumps for Littlestown by taking 1st place in Long Jump, Triple Jump, and High Jump. Kyle Langrill also won multiple first place finishes by winning the 100 and 300 Hurdles. David Gebhart took 1st place in the 400m and Brent Chrismer took the Pole Vault. Littlestown boys also won the 3200m and 1600m relays.
The Track team also took part in the Northern Invitational on Saturday. The following athletes had top 10 finishes over the weekend: Kaitlin Weinholdt (8th/3200m), Meagan Smith (5th/Javelin), Eliza Borromeo (8th/Long Jump), Kyle Langrill (2nd/110 Hurdles)(3rd/300 Hurdles), David Gebhart (8th/400m), Garrett Trout (7th/800m), Brent Chrismer (3rd/Pole Vault), Lucas Reynolds (10th/Triple Jump).
