Sports Recap 3/31-4/4

Softball

The Varsity Softball team faced off against Fairfield and Eastern York this week. On Tuesday at Fairfield, the Lady Bolts took out Fairfield by a score of 14-9. After the first inning the Lady Bolts jumped out to an 11-1 lead and then tacked on 3 more over the next six innings. McKenzie Somers, Kaitlin Yealy, Emily Lanahan, Caitlin Price and Kelsey Dews all had two RBI games. Cheyanne White and Ally Schroeder also chipped in an RBI each. On Wednesday, the Lady Bolts fell to Eastern York 1-3. Kaitlin Yealy had the lone RBI in the tough loss.

JV beat Eastern York 11-0 this week.

Baseball

The Varsity Baseball team also beat Fairfield and then lost to Eastern York this week. They beat Fairfield by a score of 19-3 in five innings. Nine Bolts chipped in with at least one RBI. Jacob Crawmer, Graham Schuman, and Chase Dipietro all had multi-RBI games. Russell Livesay pitched all 5 innings and had 8 strikeouts. The Bolts fell to Eastern York by a score of 5-9. Todd Cook, Jacob Crawmer, Graham Schuman, and Zach Brown all tallied a multi-hit game in the loss.

JV lost to Fairfield 5-7 and also lost to Eastern York 9-13.

Boys Tennis

The Boys Tennis team took on York Catholic this week but fell by a score of 0-7.

Track
 

The Littlestown Track team took on Bermudian Springs last week and came away with both a boys and girls victory. The boys won 82-68 and the girls won 76-74. The girls team took 1st place in the 400m and 1600m Relays, as well as 100m, 400m,300m Hurdles, 200m, 3200m, Shot Put, Discus, and Long Jump events. The boys team took 1st place in the 3200m and 1600m relays, as well as 1st place in 110 Hurdles, 1600m, 800m, 3200m, Javelin, Triple Jump, Long Jump, High Jump and Pole Vault.

Volleyball

The Junior High Varsity Volleyball team went 1-1 again this week taking out Red Lion on Monday and falling to Susquehannock on Wednesday. Hannah Riley and Emily Staub had 3 aces and 7 aces respectively in the win over Red Lion for the Junior High Varsity team. The Junior High JV team fell to both Red Lion and Susquehannock.
