CHIP covers uninsured kids up to age 19 in Pennsylvania. It doesn’t matter why your kids don’t have health coverage right now; CHIP may be able to help. Most kids receive CHIP for free. Others can get the same benefits at a low cost.

Reminder the first day of school is August 24,2016.

This survey is designed to gather community input around switching start and end times between elementary and secondary schools. The superintendents of Bermudian Springs, Upper Adams, Conewago Valley, Fairfield, Gettysburg and Littlestown are seeking as much information and input as possible to make an informed decision in September.

The Board of School Directors will be meeting in Regular Session on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room.

Back to School Night August 17, 2016 6-8pm

A new White House youth initiative to get all 4th graders and their families to experience the places that are home to our country’s natural treasures, rich history, and vibrant culture FREE OF CHARGE!

Advanced Placement (AP) courses are designed to provide a college-level educational experience to high school students. Many colleges grant credits for high scores on AP Exams, and research shows that a score of 3 or higher is predictive of college success and graduation.

The Board of School Director's will be meeting in regular session on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room.

The blood drive is being held in the Maple Avenue Middle School Cafeteria. Appointments can be made by contacting Sara Lawyer at lawyers@lasd.k12.pa.us Walk-ins are welcome.

The Board of School Director's will meet in Special Session and Work Session on May 9, 2016 at 5:45 p.m. in the Board Room.

We will be using our third snow make up day on Tuesday, May 10th, so school will be in session on Tuesday, May 10th.

Board Work Session

The Board of School Director's will be meeting in a Work Session on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room.

Come out to the Littlestown High School on Friday, April 22nd or Saturday, April 23rd at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults and are available at the Littlestown Library or at the door.

The National Art Honor Society will be hosting its first Paint Night this Friday, April 8th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Tickets cost $25 and are available at the door or by contacting Mrs. Richwine - richwinet@lasd.k12.pa.us or 717-359-4146.

To support you and your students, the LIU 12 provides a pool of surrogate parents available to be assigned to students whose parents are unknown. Surrogate parents act on the behalf of students to make educational decisions. We are currently seeking additional surrogate parents to fill this need. Please share the attached training opportunity with anyone who might be interested in serving special education students in this capacity.
