On Opening Day for the 2017-2018 school year, the LASD staff participated in a fundraiser to exchange a Lincoln (penny) for a Lincoln ($5). The total staff donations totaled $640.00!

Please join us on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Maple Avenue Middle School Auditorium to learn more about how Littlestown Area School District is improving peer relations and making schools a more positive place for students to learn and develop.

We are all seeking closure on this topic as we have already replaced Mr. Oaster and have moved forward as a school district. LASD will wait for formal notification and then act accordingly as a school board in the months ahead. The victims deserve praise and respect for coming forward to start the investigation and allow the judicial system to render a verdict.

Welcome Bolt Families! The Counseling Department has created this newsletter to serve as a source of information for both parents and students to review regarding programs, activities and important dates. Our department will be meeting with students individually in the upcoming weeks to go over this information as well. We are excited to get to know our Bolt families, and to assist all students with their future plans!
In August of 2017, the Littlestown FFA harvested a total of 986 dozen of sweet corn (approximately 9,860lbs) that required several truck loads for delivery to the agencies. These agencies were South Central Community Action Programs (SCCAP), Bethel Assembly of God, and Bart’s Church. Other vegetables including peppers, tomatoes, squash, and peas were delivered as they matured throughout the summer.

Alloway Creek Elementary School (ACES) is officially open with our Dedication Ceremony last evening! We are so excited to fill our new facility with K-5 students on Monday!

The Littlestown Area School District runs the School Lunch/Breakfast Program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education Child Nutrition Program.

The '82 Field Hockey Team State Champions gathered together for a reunion after the LHS game this past Saturday against Fairfield.
The start of school is fast approaching and we are excited for all students to return on August 28th. The solar eclipse on August 21st, 2017 is right around the corner. We would have enjoyed using the special event as a learning opportunity with students if we were in school. If your child is planning on viewing the eclipse, please make sure you follow the recommendations for protecting your eyes. Here is a short video clip to assist in safe viewing of the eclipse.
