On-Line Library Resources
 

Our libraries provide access to several on-line research databases:

SIRS - the Social Issue Resource Service is another database that deals with presenting different point os view on social issues.  ProQuest is the service that provides SIRS. It requires the student log in password found in the pathfinders on the previous page.
A unique, award winning database of full-text articles developed  for elementary and middle school-aged children. Includes The World Almanac for Kids.
Provided by the Commonwealth of PA through Commonwealth public libraries. Includes full-text magazine, journal and newspaper articles, and encyclopedias. Requires Adams County Public Library Card
Twayne's Author Series is a database dedicated to authors.  It includes biographical information as well as criticism of the works of the authors.  It requires the student log in password found in the pathfinders on the previous page.
Opposing Viewpoints is a databse that takes contemporary social issues and presents information on both sides of the issue. It requires the student log in password found in the pathfinders on the previous page.
The Student Resource Center is a broad-based collection of both magazine and e-journal articles on current events in Biography, Geography, History, Literature, Science Government and Social Issues.  It requires the student log in password found in the pathfinders on the previous page.
